If you’re in the blue box, better shoot for the yellow box ASAP and start accumulating titles (to post on LinkedIn.com) before your compensation curve flattens. Since there are fewer multividual contributors in an org pyramid, by auto-assumption they must be more valuable and deserving, right? Of course, the graphic below is an extreme exaggeration, but how far off the mark do you really think it is?

Pain administered publicly as punishment such as Aztec style Flaying, Roman circuses, or perhaps Ghengis Khan style group beheadings of rotten managers? Rotten managers are more visible than rotten workers and take arrows constantly. All managers have to have a thick skin.
..again binary Phil, you don’t get it. I don’t think ALL managers are bad. Never have, never will. Do you think ALL managers are good?
Here’s my personal breakdown of types. Does your blindspot allow you to see the Helper subclass, or is it invisible to you? IMHO, the only “bad” ones are the Conscious Bozo types. The higher one goes up the typical corpo ladder, the more of these you’re likely to find. What’s your personal taxonomy?
