About Me
“It is not a bad idea to get in the habit of writing down one’s thoughts. It saves one having to bother anyone else with them.” – Isabel Colegate
“As a rule, if you insist on speaking your mind, you will inevitably find yourself somewhere where everyone hates you.” – Scott Berkun
My name is “Bulldozer00” (BD00). Like you, I’m just a regular person trying to find my path through life. So, if you need to see some “stinkin’ badges” or other credentials in order to read any further….. then don’t read any further.
One of the goals of this blasphemous blog is to stir up some kind of emotion and perhaps evoke a chuckle from you, even if it is uncomfortable. I believe that some of the verbal diarrhea I spew in here has a grain of truth to it, but I also like to think that I’m not married to my thoughts.
If you’re still here, then here’s a mashup of the topics that interest me:
Life long learning, social networking, connectivity, interfaces, dynamic interactions, perceptual control theory, cybernetics, feedback loops, entropy and the 2nd law of thermodynamics, holarchy, tangled hierarchies, simplicity, complexity, ambiguity, conceptual integrity, systems thinking, abstraction, quantum physics, religion-independent spirituality, meditation (which I’m incredibly inept at!), writing, (so-called) leadership, creativity, innovation, project management, executive management, software product lines, UML, SysML, C++, software architecture, distributed real-time communication middleware, company cultures, manifesting change, fishing, golfing, exercising, electronic gadgets, and of course, moderate partying!
Oh, and by the way, I’m an FAI and a self-proclaimed L’artiste. In addition, in the minds of some (many?) people, I’m an incorrigible serial misbehaver. What are you?
I was looking for a coherent explanation of UML/SysML without going into too much detail. I really liked this one as it included roughly what’s on the OMG website but it was a better overview. I also liked the blog about managers. Really funny but in a tragic way because it’s all so familiar!
Thanx for listening Michelle.
Hi.
I am one of the developers of PVS-Studio static code analyzer for C/C++/C++0x. As means of improving the quality of our product we are offering you a 3-month single user license for free. In case you find the analyzer interesting we would appreciate if you could mention your experience with it in one of your articles/blog posts.
PVS-Studio is a static code analysis tool for the C\C++\C++0x languages designed to locate source code issues in 3 distinctive areas: migration to 64-bit platforms, OpenMP related errors and general-purpose C++ errors.
If you are interested in our offer please reply to this message and we will provide you with a free registration key for PVS-Studio analyzer.
Looking forward to your reply

I’ll check out Zappos next time I need shoes, I’m happy to support a business that is trying so hard to do things right!

Hi, can I use some of the pics in a presentation pls? Thanks, Lili
Sure thing Lili. All I ask is that you put a link to bulldozer00.com somewhere in your presentation. Note: I haven’t been diligent on where I plucked icons/graphics from. Most of them are from the Microsoft Visio clipboard, but some of them are randomly copied from the web.
Great blog, no doubt (I don’t understand the software stuff [at all!], but as it’s mostly about organisations and management …) – keep going!
Thanks for the words of encouragement Chris.
Hi, any idea where I could obtain a “mindmap” about DDS (preferably the OpenSplice solution)? Done some googling but don’t succeed. Thank’s, Piet Buyse – Norway.
Hi Piet,
Sorry, but no. Angelo Corsaro is the DDS chief technology officer for PrismTech – and a real good guy. Try asking him your question directly. Angelo’s web site is “http://www.icorsaro.net”.
Thank’s, I will. Piet.
Tony, very interesting site. We share a lot of interests, especially systems thinking and the combination of pathology and hierarchy and its consequences. I’ve linked to my site, specifically a page on some of my interests. I think you’ll find some topics there will interest you too. If you’d like to talk sometime let me know.
Thanks for stopping by ST. I browsed your site and, yes, we do have quite a bit in common. Almost eerily so. 🙂
I bookmarked your site and I feel that I may be visiting it often.
I always like meeting people with eerily similar interests since it doesn’t happen all that often. You can drop me a line through my site if you’d like to chat after checking things out.
Thoughts are pretty cool tools to have… 🙂
Yepp. I don’t know what I’d freakin’ do without any.
Touché! 🙂
Hi BD00, really sorry to hear about this. Consider Orthodox baptism and taking Holy Communion regularly. It is massive help for the sick. God help you!!
